Dryer and Washer Repair
Since their invention around the 1950's washing and drying machines have entirely revolutionized the laundry landscape for American people. Doing things by hand and letting them dry every once in a while is refreshing but it's not as feasible in today's fast-paced world.
When either of your machines is acting up it could put a hamper on things (yes pun intended) by impeding your ability to both wash your clothes so they're clean or dry them so you can wear them comfortably and not be shivering all the time.
By calling us at KPR Appliance Company we can get a move on finding a solution the same day while you tend to more important matters in your life. We don't sneak around and nickel and dime you so there'sno need to have any suspicion while we do our job.
What Is Causing The Issues?
There is a multitude of issues that can affect your washer and dryer and pinpointing them can be pretty time-consuming. For your dryer, the heating element may be malfunctioning which would obviously leave your clothes wet even after a nice thorough cycle. For your washer, the draining system may be clogged which will stop water from exiting your machine properly. Problems that affect both appliances would be the drum seal braking and preventing the doors from closing, the thermostat not working and causing cycles to be much longer, the drum support rollers or the belt may have pooped out which makes the wheel spin without anything to slow it down.
As you can see, there are at least 5 things right off the bat that could be making things stressful during laundry day and by coming down to us you're investing in an expedited way to make it better.
Normal Occurrences You Might Encounter
Dryer or Washer Doesn't Start
When your appliance won't turn on, it's usually a sign of an electrical issue. The first thing to do would be to check the voltage of your outlets and make sure they're outputting enough. A lot of the time a fuse can blow and you don't even know it because the rest of the house is unaffected.
If you've pinpointed that it's an external issue then an electrician will be able to help you, otherwise, you should consider giving us a ring.
When you have puddles on the floor surrounding your machine there are two usual suspects. There's the hose that fills the machine with fresh water for the washing. There could be an exit point which leads to water ending up on your floor. Then there's the draining faculty which takes out the used water and disposes of it. If either of these is shot then it's time for an inspection.
A dryer that won't heat is a sad sight to see. Load after load of wet clothes struggling to regain that crisp and warm feeling that feels so nice to lay under. The system that heats your dryer could be working poorly and not getting to the necessary temperature for drying. Or something is blocking the circulation of air around the machine.
